Julinne Samuelson
Candidate for President-Elect

Julinne Samuelson is proud to be considered as a candidate for the Northwest District KMEA President-Elect. Julinne is currently teaching 5th-12th grade Band and Choir in the Quinter School District. Prior to teaching in Quinter, she taught 10 years in Los Angeles. She also has taught in Derby, and Oakley. Julinne has 3 grown children and enjoys swimming, reading and prior to Covid, singing in the Fort Hays State Smokey Hill Chorale.

Julinne has served as the NWKMEA vocal chair and has had students audition and participate in all levels of Band and all levels of Choir. She has had students in Elem, Middle level, and HS State KMEA choirs as well.

Julinne received her Master of Music from Fort Hays State University and her Bachelor of Music from Kansas Wesleyan University. Julinne wants to create a foundation of learning through a path of successful musical performance, but also instill in her students the desire to use their talents to share their gifts, generosity, and kindness. She believes that to foster a love of music is to help a child make connections between themselves and the world around them.
